Brian Funk, DDS, is a member of ProHEALTH Dental in New York. Brian grew up learning about dentistry through his grandfather, who also practiced dentistry in Queens. He graduated from Vanderbilt University with a B.A. in Chemistry, completed his DDS at NYU College of Dentistry with a certification in Invisalign and Disaster Preparedness, and acted as a general practice resident at NYU Langone Hospital – Brooklyn. While he was attending NYU College of Dentistry, he acted as a peer mentor to new students and happily conducted various types of volunteer work with New York City Public Schools, such as teaching children about proper oral hygiene and performing no-cost examinations. He currently serves as a clinical faculty member in the Department of General Dentistry and Comprehensive Care at NYU College of Dentistry, where he trains students as they are learning and treating patients. As a member of the American Dental Association, New York State Dental Association, and American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Dr. Funk continues his education to learn new treatments and techniques for patients. Outside the office, Dr. Funk enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing guitar, attending concerts, and watching movies.
